ALL AGES PROGRAMS

To help you find a powerful way to navigate grief, we connect you with others who are experiencing a loss and guide you into a shared nature journey together.

At Wild Grief, we walk with one another, share our stories, and sometimes just remain in the quiet and majesty of nature together. Come explore ways to find solace and meaning through experiences in the natural world.

Hike Habit

At Wild Grief, we gather each month for an all ages nature walk, simply to be together in wild spaces and open up to peers who understand. Getting out in nature with other people who are also grieving, even just for a few hours, helps you make meaningful connections with others and with the rhythms of nature. Making it a habit is an even more powerful way to navigate your path toward healing and peace. Grief is a long journey and it is important to make space to tend to it regularly to continue to process nuanced emotions.

Each hike is easy to moderate in difficulty and is designed to be manageable for as many people as possible. Hike Habit is led by a Wild Grief guide trained in grief support, leading hikes, and first aid. Please leaves pets at home, service animals welcome.

virtual Hike Habit

It is important to regularly create space and time to be in nature and to connect with peers who understand grief. Wild Grief created a virtual version of Hike Habit during the pandemic lockdown and found that is was so helpful to those who came that we plan to keep it going long into the future.

We meet together online for mutual support before and after you take time in nature on your own. You can walk around your neighborhood, or simply spend time gazing at a tree. A trained grief guide will walk you through creative activities to help you engage with your grief and make connections with others who have lost someone. This monthly gathering is open to people of all ages. We are happy to have a program that serves people in their grief no matter where they are in the world or physical ability level.

Who: All ages welcome.

What: 2-hour monthly gathering on zoom with an independent walk.
