Join us at Bayshore Preserve in Mason County for our monthly grief hike. These hikes are easy to moderate in difficulty and open to all ages. Bayshore Preserve is a Capitol Land Trust public-access preserve featuring salt marsh, Oakland Bay shoreline, and a creek. The trail is mostly flat and a mixture of dirt and gravel. Bayshore Preserve is approximately 30 minutes north of Olympia up 101 and Highway 3, just 3 miles northwest of Shelton, WA.

Every grief hike begins with an opening circle, an acknowledgement of who is here and who we are carrying in our hearts. Then we walk in silence for 10 minutes. After our silent time, the group morphs and changes, small groupings or solitary walkers. Conversations can be deep or light, mixing the here and now with our shut away places. We know each of us is somewhere in their grief journey and all are welcome. We end with a closing circle.

Registration is required. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Please leave pets at home; trained service animals are always welcome.
