Scatter Creek Wildlife Area has some of the best shows of Spring wildflowers in the county. What we see will depend on this years bloom season but we are sure to see some flowers. this is a flat open meadow so bring rain gear if it’s threatening, there is no tree cover. Close to Grand Mound in south Thurston County this is a big area and we will meet at the entrance on Guava street can be a little tricky to find so check the map. We start at 11am near what was the historic Miller house which burned down in a grass fire in the last few years.

Every grief hike begins with an opening circle, an acknowledgement of who is here and who we are carrying in our hearts. Then we walk in silence for 10 minutes. Then the group morphs and changes, small groupings or solitary walkers.  Conversations can be deep or light, mixing the here and now with our shut away places. And are times of walking with another in silence. We know each of us is somewhere in their grief journey and all are welcome. We end with a closing circle.
