Date change now on January 12. The winter rains can make it hard to get out and walk. This Hike Habit makes it easy. Tumwater Falls is a wonderous surprise in the middle of town. The roar of the water drowns out traffic and the lush foliage seeps into your soul. We will meet at 11am under the awning on the park building. It’s a short walk so we will loop it again going the other direction which always offers a new perspective!
Every grief hike begins with an opening circle, an acknowledgement of who is here and who we are carrying in our hearts. Then we walk in silence for 10 minutes. Then the group morphs and changes, small groupings or solitary walkers. Conversations can be deep or light, mixing the here and now with our shut away places. And are times of walking with another in silence. We know each of us is somewhere in their grief journey and all are welcome. We end with a closing circle.
We lead a short local hike on the second Sunday of each month at 11am. Its always free and open to everyone. Connect with others, honor your grief, and experience the healing power of nature. All hikes are easy to moderate and last one and a half to two hours, footwear that will keep you safe in wet or muddy conditions is advised
