For Young Adults age 19-25 who have lost a loved one, this is a six week opportunity to make time for solo connection with nature, engage in creative activities to help deal with your loss, and connect virtually with other grieving young adults with support from skilled guides.
We will have activities and conversations about grief and how that impacts you. You will be connected with peers who have had people die so you will not have to explain yourself. We believe the best support you can have is each other. You will also be with leaders who have skills and experience in connecting with nature and who also have their own grief stories.
What to Expect:
All participants will receive a package in the mail with cards describing each of the activities, as well as other goodies, such as a day pack, journal, headlamp, snacks, art supplies, candles, and more.
Each week, you will be invited to take a solo hike to connect with nature and do some creative activities about grief and how it impacts you. We will circle up online for a virtual campfire one evening per week to check in and share about our experiences with grief and what is coming up through our time in nature and the program activities. We will also share our experiences and thoughts with each other on a closed social media platform through chat, uploading videos, photos, audio recordings, art you’ve created, journal entries, anything!
This program is free and open to anyone 19-25 who has lost a loved one.
