  • Lewis & Clark State Park 4583 Jackson Highway Winlock, WA, 98596 United States (map)

Family Campout

A weekend guided campout for families with children 18 and under, who have experienced the death of someone significant in their lives. Families have fun together on hikes and in games, connect with other grieving families, and learn skills to be with each other through the ongoing experience of loss. There will be opportunities to process grief together as a family as well as in peer groups through conversations, creative activities, and nature connection.

Who: Families of all shapes and sizes who have experienced the death of someone important to them. Due to our funding sources, we prioritize families living in Washington State, but do accept families from out of state when possible.

Where: Camp is held at Lewis and Clark State Park near Chehalis, WA (45 min south of Olympia)  in a secluded group site surrounded by old growth cedars.

How much: The campout as well as all meals and camping gear are provided free of charge to all participants.
